(3-93) C.S. Bowen's (2d) Brigade, 9th Ark., 10th Ark., 2d Confederate, 1st Mo., Hudson's Miss. Battery, Watson's La. Battery, Breckinridge's Reserve Corps, Army of the Mississippi. This Brigade became engaged here about 12.30 p.m. April 6, 1862 under the personal direction of General Johnston. It advanced to position east of Bloody Pond where it was again engaged Hamburg-Purdy Road near southeast corner of Sarah Bell's cotton field |
