(October 2010) Highway marker is located on Virginia 116 (Jubal Early Highway) north of its junction with Virginia 684 (Boones Mill Road) at Old Hollow Lane

(October 2010) The house was built by General Early's grandfather in the 1790's and was the center of a 4,000 acre tobacco plantation. It sits at the top of the hill on Old Hollow Lane. It has been saved  and restored by the Jubal A. Early Preservation Trust

(October 2010) Numerous additions have been made to the original house through the years
