Chretien Point Plantation
 
On October 15, 1863 an engagement between troops of America's fractured North and South was fought on the plantation's grounds. Union forces occupied the lower floor of the Chretien mansion and set up camp on the lawn. Still today, a bullet hole remains in one of the front doors chretienpoint.com
