(2007) Robert Preston Chew’s Confederate artillery battery deployed in this position near the Marshall house. Charles Miller of the 6th U.S. cavalry noted “the shot and shell from five pieces of artillery made us think we would better get out of there, and some of the boys made good time, too”. This view is looking north


(2007) Lieutenant Christian Balder ordered his squadron to form on either side of the road atop this small ridge and charge. His troopers soon encountered Jones' advance picket line of 40 or 50 dismounted men and drove it back into the column of wagons. This view is looking south
